Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting–over and over announcing your place in the family of things."

My name is Katie Scott and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Nashville, TN. I believe deeply in humanity and that both our bodies and minds are wired for growth and healing.

In my practice, I am passionate about creating space for you to bring your full Self into the room–the parts you feel proud of and those that you want to hide. I believe we can only heal when each of our parts are met with compassion, acceptance, and embrace.

1:1 Therapy

Learn More

I have served individuals in many different stages of life including those experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, body image issues, relationships issues, and trauma. I use a holistic (mind, body, heart) and integrative approach to help people make sense of the stories they tell themselves and if necessary to help them establish truer more compassionate versions of these. My lens is attachment-focused and trauma informed.

Couples

Learn More

I support couples navigating a range of challenges including relational distress from infidelity, loss, life transitions, communication issues, emotional distance, and struggles with trust or intimacy—whether physical, emotional, or sexual. In our work together, my goal is for you both to feel truly seen and heard. I create a safe space where we can explore the patterns in your relationship that keep you stuck. Through a modality called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we will dive beneath the surface issues to uncover the core emotions—fear, shame, or longing—that drive your interactions. By understanding these deeper feelings, you’ll both develop a more compassionate honest connection to self and other. EFT helps couples break free from negative cycles and fosters a renewed sense of tenderness, understanding, and intimacy.

Ketamine-Assisted
Psychotherapy

Learn More

(KAP) is a therapeutic approach that combines the use of ketamine with the supportive framework of psychotherapy. When administered in a controlled, guided setting, ketamine can help facilitate deep, non-ordinary states of consciousness that open the door to profound emotional insights, personal healing, and the processing of trauma.

Supervision

Learn More

My approach to supervision is both collaborative and relational. I believe that effective supervision provides a safe and nurturing environment where you can learn, grow, refine your skills, and develop your unique therapeutic style. My goal as a supervisor is to offer attentive support, helping you become a competent, confident, and self-aware therapist. I provide individual and dyadic supervision as a primary supervisor or as supplemental support for those pursuing LMFT licensure in Tennessee. I also offer a free initial meeting to ensure we are a good fit. I look forward to connecting and learning how I can best support you.
